GetWireless Partners With VisTracks To Bring Connected Car Program To Nex-Tech Wireless

MINNETONKA, MN – GetWireless, North America’s largest value-added distributor of cellular-based hardware for M2M (machine-to-machine) communications, has partnered with VisTracks, the developer of SnapTraq fleet tracking software, to provide a turn-key fleet tracking solution, also known as “Connected Car”, using an OBDII Modem connected to the CDMA network operated by Nex-Tech Wireless.

Nex-Tech Wireless, a regional wireless carrier servicing Central and Western Kansas, identified a need to support small to medium sized businesses with a service that would provide operational efficiencies while monitoring/tracking fleet vehicles via their cellular network.

With any vehicle fleet, employee and vehicle effectiveness, and fuel consumption are becoming a progressively larger business expense. Without accurate and real time data it is difficult to identify where improvements can be made, leaving fleet operations without the tools they need to get the most from their resources.

A fleet tracking solution empowers companies by providing detailed data from their vehicles. With this valuable information, they can make decisions that create a more efficient business, with a positive impact to the company’s bottom line.

The SnapTraq solution, powered by VisTracks, provides complete, up-to-the-minute data on vehicle or fleet activities in one centralized, web-based interface, as well as with mobile apps for both Apple and Android devices.  All of this information helps a business:

  • Increase Productivity
  • Reduce Labor Costs
  • Control Fuel Costs
  • Improve Customer Service
  • Increase Fleet Safety and Security
  • Reduce Operating Expenses
  • Reduce Unauthorized Vehicle Use

“We are pleased to partner with Get Wireless and Nex-Tech Wireless to provide services to Nex-Tech Wireless’ business customers that were only available to large companies at high prices,” says Abraham Levine, VisTracks’ Chief Operating Officer.  “Nex-Tech Wireless’ customers can now achieve the benefits from the Internet of Things and successfully compete with their larger competitors with an easy-to-use and cost-effective service.”

Nex-Tech Wireless is an example of how regional carriers can diversify by adding non-traditional service offerings for small and medium sized business customers.  According to Eian Wagner, Sales Manager for Nex-Tech Wireless, “The Nex-Tech Wireless Fleet Management product provides our customers the flexibility and ease to better manage their business.  Additionally, it expands the offerings from Nex-Tech Wireless to incorporate the advancements of wireless and the needs of our customers.”
