Here's What's New at the Kansas State Fair 2023!

It’s Kansas State Fair time again so get ready because it will be here before you know it! The State Fair is starting off with some great improvements like newly laid asphalt that will continue to be updated after the fair. In addition, the House of Capper, the tribute to former Governor and Senator Arthur Capper, has been rebuilt. You’ll also notice that the Oz Gallery will be an air-conditioned space so it will be perfect to escape the heat while also exploring the “fine arts, school arts, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts as well as the Explore Kansas Festival the last weekend of the Fair.”

If you plan to stay after dark, you’ll also be able to see the beautiful tree light scaping that has been done in Gottschalk Park, Administration Park, North of the Administration Building, around the Lair White House, and throughout the Lowen Corporation Free Stage located at Lake Talbott. You’ll also be glad to know that the restrooms at the Expo Center and the Grandstand have been updated with more coming soon! Lastly, a very big project is ongoing to update Bison Arena into an Ag Innovation Center!

Grandstand

This year, the Nex-Tech Grandstand will start with Needtobreathe on September 8th. Carly Pearce and Megan Moroney will be performing the next night followed by Rob Schneider and Bryon Kennedy the night after that. September 11th will kick off the Demolition Derby with a performance by Cooper Alan and Frank Ray the next day. Things will really kick into gear when La Fiera de Ojinaga performs on September 15th followed by none other than Ja Rule with Disco Lines the next day! It all ends with Monster Trucks on September 17th.
